Knowing
exactly what version of the Android operating system your device is
running can be important for several reasons. If you want to see if
there is an updated version of the software available, you'll first need
to find out your current version. Additionally, if you contact your
service provider for technical support, tech-support representatives may
need to know your Android's version in order to help you solve your
problem.
1.
Touch the "Home" button underneath your Android's LCD to go back to the
"Home" screen. Then tap the "Menu" button located to the right of the
"Home" button.
2. Tap the "Settings" icon from the menu that appears on the screen.
3.
Slide your finger up your Android phone's screen to scroll all the way
to the bottom of the Settings menu. Tap "About Phone" at the bottom of
the menu.
4.
Tap the "Software Information" option on the About Phone menu. The
first entry on the page that loads will be your current Android software
version.
