Knowing
 exactly what version of the Android operating system your device is 
running can be important for several reasons. If you want to see if 
there is an updated version of the software available, you'll first need
 to find out your current version. Additionally, if you contact your 
service provider for technical support, tech-support representatives may
 need to know your Android's version in order to help you solve your 
problem.
 
1.
 Touch the "Home" button underneath your Android's LCD to go back to the
 "Home" screen. Then tap the "Menu" button located to the right of the 
"Home" button.
2. Tap the "Settings" icon from the menu that appears on the screen.

 Slide your finger up your Android phone's screen to scroll all the way 
to the bottom of the Settings menu. Tap "About Phone" at the bottom of 
the menu.

 Tap the "Software Information" option on the About Phone menu. The 
first entry on the page that loads will be your current Android software
 version.
