Mazi Nmamdi Kanu The Leader Of IPOB Smiling the Smile of
Freedom
Freedom calls for
Nnamdi Kanu at last. The freedom fighter has gotten much converts in
the recent days. Ohaneze Ndigbo leader, John Nnia Nwodo , Holy Ghost
Adoration Uke Director, Rev Fr Emmanuel Obimma of Ebube Mounso fame, Law
Mefor , a journalist of records among other Nigerians have continued
to speak in solidarity of Kanu’s agitation for a fair dealing for
Ndigbo. They may not agree totally on same modalities but agree Ndigbo
are no longer second fiddle but excluded.
His followers
across the world too especially the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)
has shown some faith and supported him through thick and thin with
enough media mobilization, and counter propaganda of All Progressives
Congress (APC), a political party and government characterised with lies
upon lies daily.
Hundreds of
unarmed IPOB, MASSOB or by whatever name have been killed with their
names and addresses captured at no slightest provocation yet APC and its
security arms continued to deny that no IPOB etc was murdered so to
speak. True federalism and one Nigeria , my foot?
They all agreed
that Kanu has been unjustly incarcerated and that he alongside other
prisoners of conscience should be released from jail and political
solution given to their grievances.
I am convinced
the boiling point has reached and soonest against all calculations, that
Kanu would be freed to the peace and happiness of the jailer, the
jailed and associates and friends of both divide. We are watching
President Muhammadu Buhari’s vice, Prof Yemi Osibanjo on what he does
with our cerebral Nnamdi Kanu, His Excellency as he is called in
prison.
The war like
tunes from MASSOB are too cascading to inclusive stance, even without
knowing the direction per say like Movement for the Actualization of
Sovereign state of Biafra (MASSOB) allayed fears of another attack or
disruption of CENSUS 2018, and gladly MASSOB has apologized for the
great dis-service to Ndigbo in 2006, though, its strength was shown
significantly.
We as Ndigbo so
far has suffered much under Xenophobic attacks in South Africa, trip
by desert and Mediterranean Sea, looters of our common patrimony,
election riggers, nepotism, tribalism, Customs and other security
harassments, appointments, fire disaster, Fulani Herdsmen, fuel tanker
accidents to mention but a few but it appears the incarceration of
Nnamdi Kanu smacks insult and humiliation of a race whose voice was
lost on unnecessary bickering and backbiting by Ohaneze Ndigbo
leadership.
But today it
appears the driver is back on his seat, better focused and mission
oriented but time will tell especially how it handles issues
surrounding Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB Leader.
